WEBASTO PUTS THE LATEST IN BATTERY INNOVATION ON DISPLAY AT SEMA IN LAS VEGAS
Webasto Customized Solutions unveiled the one-off prototype all-electric Mustang Lithium this week in the Ford Motor Company booth at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The debut highlights Webasto capabilities, and product offerings for the E-mobility market. On display along with the Mustang Lithium during the show was a Webasto CV standard battery, TurboDx charging station and HVH 100.
An 800 V battery system (double the amount of voltage of most electric cars), Phi-Power dual-core electric motor and dual power inverters muscles the Webasto built Mustang Lithium to 1,000 lb-ft of torque and over 900 horsepower. The electric motor is mated to the factory 6-speed manual transmission to maintain the relationship between the vehicle and driver.
While at SEMA Ford Motor Company presented Webasto with the BEST OF SHOW STAND in Outstanding Achievement in Design for the work on the Mustang Lithium. The award is presented annually by the automaker to vehicle builders that make a significant contribution to vehicle design and stand apart from all others at the Show. Mark Denny was onsite to accept the award for Webasto.
“Very similar to Ford’s push for vehicle electrification, this is an innovative way to further the technologies we’re developing to enable vehicle electrification while creating a vision of how cool the future of electric performance will be,” said Mark Denny, Webasto Customized Solutions North America President and CEO.
Webasto values Passion for Quality and Innovation, which means we set benchmarks in our industry and think outside the box to develop new ideas and solutions.
